  • End Of DanekWorld.COM Is Near

Posted on March 21st, 2010 Casey No comments

According to our domain name registrar, DanekWorld.COM will expire on June 19th. I had incorrectly reported that this had happened a year ago when I switched over to the INFO site. I had explained that “info” made more sense thatn “com” because the latter was originally designated for commercial purposes. Back in the early days, .com’s became so popular and so much used by everyone that they became the norm. The .info stuff came along much later and now, as the Interent domain system has evolved, we have so many more useful names (like .tv, for example). But, I think “info” makes the most sense because, after all, it’s about information about DanekWorld. Right? So, thank you DanekWorld.COM…you served us well in tall these years…it’s time to say good by. Let’s hope that we keep INFO alive and well for a long time.

  • Kaycie, Jen, and Ooma – Mothers Day

Posted on May 10th, 2009 Casey No comments

Kaycie spent the night in Spencer and Ooma (Lee) and she had the usual mix of fun and affection. What a nice gift for a nice pair of Mom’s. Jen, of course, had the night off (part of the gift) and she and Patrick went out on the town. Kaycie ruled the roost in Spencer (how can we say no to anything she asks)…and for lunch, we headed to Chicopee for a proper Mom’s Day celebration which Jen helped organize. Good food!!! …oh, and we got a chance to catch one of Kaycie’s soccer games, too…

We’re changing things up a bit. Some of our old stuff will still be available here…

Why blogging? …it’s just an easier way to keep things up-to-date. We can take advantage of technologies that someone else had to develop (easier for us, cool).
